About South Asian University

South Asian University is an international university established in 2010 by the eight SAARC member countries. Located in New Delhi, India, the university operates from its new campus in Maidan Garhi, spanning nearly 100 acres. SAU currently offers programs through five faculties: Economics, Legal Studies, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Social Sciences. SAU Admission Entrance Examination

• Test Format: 2-hour computer-based test with 70 multiple-choice questions. No negative marking applied.
• Exam Centers: Tests conducted simultaneously across SAARC countries on April 20-21, 2024.
• Application Fee: US$10 or INR 830, payable online through the university portal.
• Eligibility Check: Candidates must meet program-specific academic requirements before applying for the entrance test.

South Asian University UG Admission

• Course Names: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Dual Degree B.Tech.-M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
• Eligibility Criteria: Complete 12th grade with Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry as main subjects, Score a minimum 65% marks in aggregate from any SAARC national education board and Original documents needed at the time of admission
• Duration: BTech program: 4 years (8 semesters), Dual Degree B.Tech-M.Tech: 5 years (10 semesters) and Both programs include practical training and projects
• Fee Range: Basic tuition fee: US$440 per semester, Additional hostel fee if needed, Security deposit: US$100 (one-time, refundable) and Special scholarships available for deserving students
• Selection Criteria: Two admission routes available: Route 1: Merit list based on JEE Main scores, Route 2: SAU entrance test with 70 multiple choice questions, No negative marking in entrance test and Equal weightage to both routes for fair selection

South Asian University PG Admission 

• Course Names: MSc Computer Science, MSc Applied Mathematics, MSc Biotechnology, MA Economics (with specialization in Economic Development), MA International Relations, MA Sociology, LLM (Master of Laws), MTech Computer Science and Integrated MSc + MTech Computer Science
• Eligibility Criteria: For Science Programs (MSc/MTech): Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject with 55% marks, Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level for Computer Science and Biology at 10+2 level for Biotechnology. For Arts Programs (MA/LLM): Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks, Mathematics required for MA Economics and LLB/BA LLB for LLM program
• Duration: Regular Master’s programs: 2 years (4 semesters), Integrated MSc + MTech: 3 years (6 semesters) and All programs include research projects
• Fee Range: Regular tuition fee: US$440 per semester,Security deposit: US$100 (one-time), Student aid fund: US$100, Additional hostel fees if applicable and Various scholarships available up to full fee waiver
• Selection Criteria: Computer-based entrance test, 70 multiple choice questions in 2 hours, No negative marking, Subject-specific test for each program and Test centers across all SAARC countries
