IPU CET Exam 2026: Latest Updates, Last Date, Results

IPU CET Exam 2026: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) CET has announced the application form for the entrance exam CET 2026. Students can fill out the application form by 15th August 2026. Students can register for the exam on the official website of IPU. The expected exam dates are suggested to be in April and continued till May 2026. Students can expect the IPU CET admit card 2026  on the official website of IPU. The result can be downloaded in the pdf format . After the exams, students can pay the fee for an IPU CET counseling session, which is estimated to be held in the month of June 2026 to July 2026. To participate in the counseling session students must pay the registration fee and counseling fee. The conducting Authority of the university will display the results of counseling rounds. Based on the IPU CET test scores, a seat is allotted to qualified students. IPU CET exam is not applicable for B.E/BTech and BArch admissions. These admissions are based on the scores of JEE Main.

WHAT IS IPU CET Exam?

IPU CET is an all-India-level entrance examination conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for undergraduate and postgraduate programs including all the programs except B.TECH, LLB, LLM, BA, B.ARCH. IPU CET 2026 exam date is going to be from April to May 2026. Students can fill out the application form for the IPU CET 2026 on the official website of IPU. IPU CET Exam Registration Process 2026

Students can get access to the application form for IPU CET  Exam 2026 registration through the university’s official website. Step-by-step instructions to fill out the IPU CET 2026 application form is given below:

• Students must visit the official website of IPU to get access to the application form
• Click on the tab “REGISTRATION 2026”  to register for the application form
• Students must click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” tab to make a fresh registration for IPU CET 2026.
• After carefully reading all the guidelines mentioned above, students must click on the “ I agree” tab
• Students must enter all the information with accuracy in the registration form
• Then students can submit the registration form by clicking on the tab “submit”.
• After the registration form has been submitted successfully, students can now login using the registered User ID and password sent on email.
• Now students can log in with the registered User ID and start filling out the application form.
• The application form requires personal details, exam city preference, and verification of the mentioned information.
• Students need to upload scanned documents including photographs, signatures, etc about the guidelines mentioned.
• Students can pay the application fee with the online payment mode suggested by the university.
• Students can review the information given in the application form and can take printouts for future reference.

IPU CET Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Students must meet the eligibility criteria to be able to sit in the IPU CET 2026. All the undergraduate and postgraduate courses have different eligibility criteria that the student needs to fulfill before appearing for the entrance exam.

• To take admission in the science programs students must have a minimum aggregate of 55% in 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject.For  courses like MCA, M.TECH students require a minimum aggregate of 55% in  their bachelor degree  and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
•  To take admission in bachelor’s of arts programs students require a minimum aggregate of 55% in 10+2. For undergraduate courses like BA in English, hotel management and LLB students require a minimum aggregate of 50% in 10+2 with English as a compulsory language.
• Students are required to submit all the valid documents while filling the information in the application form.
•  After the application form is submitted, students can appear for the entrance exam IPU CET 2026  in April 2026.

IPU CET Exam 2026 Admit Card

IPU CET 2026 Admit Card is going to be issued  in the month of April 2026 to students who successfully completed the IPU CET Exam 2026 registration. Once the application filling procedure is successfully completed,students can avail the admit cards before the IPU CET  Exam 2026 date. The admit cards are made available 2 to 3 days before the entrance exam date.

The release of admit cards will be announced by IPU  on their official website for admission.

Students should stay updated about the release of IPU CET 2026 Admit Cards only through the official website and not from other informal websites.

Students appearing for multiple exam codes for IPU CET 2026 entrance would be issued different IPU CET Admit Cards for respective subject codes. The download procedure of IPU CET Admit cards require the login credentials of the students that they made while filling the application.

Students can download after they get access through login ID and password. Once the IPU CET Admit card is successfully downloaded, students are required to paste a recent passport-size photograph on it. 

IPU CET 2026 Exam Pattern

The admissions for the new academic session 2026-27 in IPU is based on the IPU CET entrance exam, which is an all-India level exam conducted by the university. Students appearing in the IPU CET 2026 exam need to be aware of the IPU CET Exam Pattern which will help in improving their scores. Knowledge of the exam pattern beforehand helps students to prepare and strategize well.

IPU CET Exam Pattern is in the multiple-choice format, in which there are 150 questions with 4 choices and only 1 is the correct answer. The exam pattern remains the same for all 45 different courses in the IPU CET 2026-27 entrance exam. The marking scheme for the exam is as follows:

• Each question carries 4 marks.
• 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer as negative marking is applied.
• For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded
• For unanswered questions, marks will not be deducted.
• If the students have corrected more than 1 option, the question will be treated as wrong answer and 1 mark will be deducted.
• The medium of the exam is in English only.
• The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode.

IPU CET Exam Result 2026

After the IPU CET Exam date has been announced and the entrance exam has been conducted successfully for all the 45 different courses, the results can be expected in July by the university. The results will be declared online on the university’s official website for undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses. The result link will be displayed on the official website of the university. Once the result link is selected by the student, their login ID and password are required to generate the result sheet. The result is structured on a merit or rank basis for each student who appeared for the IPU CET 2026 exam. The result will appear on the student’s screen which needs to be printed out and saved for the counselling session. Students can pay the IPU CET 2026 Fee for the application and the counseling session through online modes suggested by the university on their portal.
